Description
This lithograph was made on 02/20/1946 and, as the title suggests, depicts a human skull and an open book on the table. It was made on the atelier of Fernand Mourlot using lithographic crayon and ink. This lithograph can be associated with the suffering and death caused by World War II. On the same day, Picasso also made another lithograph with a lighter, more immediate touch which was entitled Composition with Skull.
