Description
This is one of the earliest lithographs produced by Picasso in Mourlort's atelier in Paris. It has been interpreted as a nostalgic memory of himself as a young boy. This is the third and final state of the lithograph and was made on 11/7/1945.
Picasso first went to the atelier of Fernand Mourlot on 11/02/1945 and returned there to work every day for four months, arriving before 9:00 AM and leaving after 8:00 PM. Together they produced 179 lithographs in the span of 4 years.
