Description

The painting depicts Françoise Gilot, who was Picasso's companion in the 40s. As the title suggests, she is sitting on a chair while wearing a coat he brought her from Poland, after attending the first World Peace Congress in Wroclaw in 1948.
Picasso made six versions of this lithograph. However, this is the definitive state of the second version.
